Get my point.? I could go on forever. I miss stuff. Stuff I didn't think I would miss like saw dust. Or wearing two shoes. urg. I have lots a lot of weight. I havent been eating regularly. When I first got hurt my meds, that I was allergic to, made me sick, so I wasn't wanting to eat. Now I am use to not eating much till mom throws food done my throat. Today I saw myself in the mirror for the first time in a few days and I look B-A-D! Pale, bags under my eyes, skinny and just ickkkkkk. I can't help the bags, darn cast is hard to sleep in, but I can help the pale and skinny. I need to start eating, again. Tonight I ate a whole hotdog. Yes my stomach shrunk that much. I even managed to eat some chips. Whooooo....!
Last weekend I got to go outside and sit in the sun. It was nice but hot! And Donna came over for a few hours. Loveeeeee her. A few friends came over and signed my cast.
One good thing - my cast is loose. So the swelling is down, yay! Next dr appointment is the 27th. I'll get X-rays, and see if it is healing. Hopefully a new cast that goes below the knee and I need approval to start classes next Wednesday. Mom promises to take me to the barn so I can brush on Pip and Chance. I'll hold her to that. We got a wheelchair thanks to Donna and will use that at school and at equine when we go. Mom continues to take care of Pippi. Everyone tries to help me. I live thru my blogging friends posts about riding and horse stuff. So I am depending on everyone to have good rides that I can read about. (:

OMG. How did I miss your posts!!!??? I caught up. So sorry about your leg! Owch!! I am going to only tell you this once (and a dozen or more times) LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR! If he says no barn, no riding, ect DON’T! Seriously! This is someone who knows about healing an injury! (Not sure if you read my personal blog when I had it up, when I was healing from my fractured C2). As incredibly painful in the brain it is now to not do all those things you want to do, you don’t want the pain next year, in 5 years, 10 years, ect. Just trust me. Eat healthy, stay on the couch, and REST.
Does it look like I’m kidding? And gosh that is a big cast, and it is gonna be stinky! ;)
You're a champ, lady-o!! Make sure your next cast is just as bright so I can wish you well if I see you at equine affaire! Its very exciting to hear that you're going to get a below the knee cast - I can't begin to fathom how awful not bending your knee must be. You're a trooper for dealing with this, few of us would manage as well. Keep it up, request your most favorite foods ever to try and encourage your stomach to appreciate food again, and focus on the little things until you can be more mobile. YOU GOT THIS.
No way around it...just sucks!!!
Hoping the next doc appt rolls around quick and much good news is in store. We will be looking for you and your mom at Equine Affair.
Keeping my fingers crossed you get a below the knee cast. I'm glad the swelling is down. :)
I agree with Christine's post about following doctor's orders. It may seem like the end of the world, but it's way better to deal with the aggravation now than to have it be a long term thing. I hope it heals quickly and I'm glad you're still going to EA. :)
I’ve been off Blogger so I missed all this I have now read back to find out about it all. I am really sorry to hear this has happened, I hope it mends fast but I do know these things can take a long time, my father broke his leg some years ago and that was quite slow to fix. Like your other followers I think it best you don’t rush this and stick to the doctors orders, best wishes and good that your eating a little now, get well soon.
Regards
Edward
