75 Days(:

Hello All,
I went to see Dr. T today. First woke up and babysat my Rugrats, went home to take a bath and off mom and I went. My appt was at 10:40am, HA! When we got there the parking lot was PACKED! Found a spot and hobbled my butt in to find a waiting room PACKED. And in case you were wondering I am far from patient, FAR! Signed in and and sat done. One lady said her and her husband had an appt at 10:00am, wow. Let's just say I complained often and fought the need to pitch a fit. I mean I babysit a 3, 9, and 11 year old, I can throw a fit like no other. Finally at like 12:20pm we got called back. Normally they X-ray then take the cast off, well this time not so much, and of course I hadn't brought my crutches to use and of course I got the nurse that is not my favorite and makes me nervous. While she is cutting off my cast I am shaking like crazy and about to just break down. And she informs me I can walk to the X-ray room, uhm sweetheart I think not. It has been 75 days and my foot is tender. It likes constant pressure, little pressure hurts and it is super sensitive. But she found a set of crutches I could use to hop my way across. X-rays and waiting. Dr. T walks in and goes straight for my leg, which I protest. No Touchie!!! He looks at my X-rays and says they look perfect. Whaaaaaaat! I ask about my fibula bc to me it doesn't look so perfect. His response "Yeah that looks like shit." *gives wtf face here* I guess it is just an ugly heal but it is healed. So I got to skip the cast that is just below the knee completely and got a walking boot(air cast?). I can take it off to shower, sleep, swim, ect and ween myself from it as my leg gains strength and my ankle become bendable again. I did have enough hay in my cast to feed for a week and probably half an arena or sand. It was gross. I go back in a month for a final check up and everything. Yay(:

Ohhhhh! I can ride with riding boots too when I feel ready. Like I can put my foot in the sturrups and everything. :D

Mini Show.

On Sunday was our first mini show of the season. Donna was taking 4 mini's, having me show 1 mare and her showing 3, and I was taking Chance. Friday we started clipping everyone and getting them show ready, Saturday I went to watch Donny show Sherman and Dewy at a local schooling show then we to wash and finish clipping. Chance got a nice bath, with the help of my mom. He hated every minute of it. Then Donna got hers cleaned up. While waiting for Chance to dry I gave him a hay net to munch on, even after Kevin said he didnt like them because they can get their legs caught in them and Chance is known for rearing when he is pissy. I figured I would be right there and he would be fine, LIES! Chance reared 1(!) time and as I am getting up to tell him no he gets caught in the hay net. Thankfully Donna and I were able to get in out and Kevin does not need to know he was right (; When Chance was finally dry-ish I put his tail in a nice braid, and into a sock. - Yes I am cheap and dont have fancy tail bags for Chance so I cut a sock and it worked just the same and probably fit better then a real tail bag. - He looked oh so cute all dressed in his sleezy and sheet.

Kevin was getting the trailer and truck ready and hooked up then moved it a clean spot near the barn so that the mini's could load nice in the morning. By now it is 10:30pm or 11:00pm Saturday night and everyone is inside eating away. Pippi heard the trailer moving and saw it coming near the barn and got so excited. She was trotting circles in her stall, lunging at the door, screaming and throwing her head while walking in place. Even tho she didnt get a bath, or her mane done I am guessing she thought she was finally going to a show and got excited. I felt so bad, I so want to take her to a show. When Kevin turned the truck off and we shut the front door she chilled out.

He loves Purple(:

Sunday at 5:30am comes super early so I got up and got to the barn by 6:05 to grain Pippi and hay everyone. We then loaded and off we went for a 2 hr drive to the show. While at the show Chance did eh in his halter class, I had a hard time trotting him out then he wouldnt stand the heck still. Plus the judge thought it would be great to talk to me about my leg and Chance figured "She isnt watching me I'll walk around and move my pretty legs". He did win his Modal Gelding class which is judging his look and whatever which is weird because he wouldnt stand for that either. Little Butt! For his Jumping class he won(: With mini jumping everyone keeps going until you knock over a jump. Everytime 2+ people have a clear round you raise the jumps and start again. We went to probably 2'9.

Side of trailer.
Rim/edge (whatever) of trailer.
Chance was a complete and total A$$ at the trailer tho. He has this thing were he is a total jealous box if I am working with anyone else, even Pippi. So when I was getting others ready or not standing with him he was rearing, stratching the trailer, pawing at the trail, standing on the edge of the trailer, screaming. You name it He DID IT! not there was scratching all over the trailer. I even tried to put him inside but he is such a butt that he gets his legs over the line and hurts himself. So this week he will be having a tying lesson. He shouldnt be such a baby about it. So he will get tied to the washbay, fence post while riding Pippi, cross tie while stalls get done, you name it I will probably do it. He doesnt have an issue with tying if I am not messing with someone else or he can see me.We have our 2nd show in 2 weeks and I dont want to scratch the trailer all up again or he wont be able to go anymore. Urg. If You have any suggestions I'd love to hear them. (:

Just Because

I have been a very bad blogger. To make things better I have been keeping up with most of you just not commenting or blogging myself. Everything seems new but then again nothing seems new.

I went to see Dr. T and he had me all confused. To start out we did the normal thing, X-rays then nurse lady pulls them up on monitor, I investigate what I believe to be two broken bones and he walks in. Well this time while investigating I get all in a panic. My X-rays look the same as they did from day one of post-setting. I swear up and down I see no difference. Now I may not be a Dr or a nurse(yet) (WHOOOOOO I got into my nursing program at school!!!!!!!!!) but by golly, I would think I'd seem some difference after all this time. Plus I was there alone which did not help my panic. Dr. T walks in and I tell him there is no difference, he rolls his eyes then takes a look. *Zoom in, zoom out, zoom in, zoom out, scratch head here, pull up old X-rays, zoom some more, compare, zoom some more*. Really?!?! This was not helping my panic attack. Then he says "They look okay." OKAY!!?? Turns to look at me for the first time, "They look good" turn away to look at X-rays again, "They look great" turns to me again "They look okay." You have got to be freaking kidding me! Which is it, good, great or just okay? Then he looks at my cast, knocks on cast, bends toes, looks some more and finally says I can come back in a month. That is the longest I have ever ever ever gone without seeing him. One Month falls on May 25th. And then we will take more X-rays (shocker) and he said it "it shouldn't be to much longer after that." WHAT?! What does that even mean!? Urg the confusion.

I have also been riding, my little butt off. I was only trotting, more trotting and some ground poles. But then I got brave and no one ever gave me real restrictions so I cantered, and cantered. I must have been giving poor Pip weird signals bc we were just about everywhere. We were diving to the middle of the arena, hot trotting, throwing our heads, like I said, EVERYWHERE. But once I got a crop in my hand we cantered nicely. Then I got brave again, and jumped, a whole 18"! Which for me and Pip isn't much of a jump but it is a start. Then we even did a gymnastic line. Score for us!
But besides riding I am pretty much useless at the barn unless it is giving grain or hay. Water buckets spill, we don't want dirt getting in my cast from cleaning stalls, urg some more. I did wrap my leg hard core in press-n-seal wrap and gave Pippi a bath. My leg was so hot the whole time but we got it done. And mom has been really riding lately. She even told Pippi who is boss and jumped. Very Proud.
Chance getting clipped(:
And Chance got body clipped. He was great for the body clipping for the most part. He has always had issues clipping his legs tho. Last year we got thru it and he even stopped fighting as much. We found that when he was bad if we took him out to lunge he would chill out. This year no such luck. He let Donna do his back legs fine. I was talking to him the whole time. His front legs were another story, urg! But the end I ended up using scissors and this other trimmer thing. We have a show this weekend. Donna swears I will be able to show but trotting is hard. We will more then likely get penalized for him not extending since I will be holding him back but then again maybe the judge will understand. It will look more like a jog then a trot. And I hope to jump him but again, I have to stop him completely between jumps to catch up with Mr. Speedy. It isnt anything against Chance like him trying to refuse or anything, just he gets fast and excited and I cant run. I hope to be more free by the Championship show June 16th so that we can kick but.

Silver Fox crying.
And we got kittens at the barn. Most of them didnt make it, our mommy cats suck at mothering but two have made it. Silverfox and Trooper/Chunker. They are from different litters but mommy kitty adopted Silverfox.

Last weekend there was a tack auction and mom, Donna, Sam and I went. Sam is a new friend kinda.? We went to school together forever but werent in the same things then she got a horse and BAM, small horse world.  But anyways we got a new grooming kit that is for shows only! and two white fitted english pads for like 4 each and a english saddle blanket in peach *kinda ick but beggars cant be choosers*  along with a tail bag and saw some great people.

This week I am crazy busy babysitting and trying to get Chance to look pretty and be nice, easier said then done (;

P.s. Thanks for the compliments on my new banner. I got bored and made it. The original say information of Pippi and I. I also made mom and Donny one.
