Horse Treats - Yes My Horses are that Spioled.

Hey Hey Heyyyyyy,
I am kinda crafty and like to bake and cook, I figure I get that from my mother. And I kinda spoil my horses more then needed as long as they deserve it and dont get mean. We go thru lots of treats - I can't ride much since it has been so rainy so I am trying to teach Pippi to do some fun little tricks and setting up for halter with both Chance and Pippi. So I decided to try and make some treats. I went online and got a few different recipes. I made three different types and really liked two of the three. Mom said the kitchen looked like horse treats were made (:

                                                                     HORSE MUNCHES
~1 cup dry oats
~1 cup shredded apple and/or carrot
~1 cup flour
~1 1/2 tsp salt
~1/2 cup molassess
~about 1/4 cup water (just enough to make it dough-ie)
Add all together, stir, either put in muffin tins (like I did) or make balls and place on cookie sheet. Oven needs to be 350 and bake for about 10-15 minutes.

I liked these ones a lot. I used both apple and carrots and both Pippi and Chance enjoyed them.

                                                          Colorful Horse Muffins
~3 cups oats
~2 tbls honey (or molasses)
~2 cups water
~1 shredded apple
~3 tbls flour
~2 tbls brown sugar or white sugar
~2 drops of food coloring (I used a bit more)
~crushed peppermints (optional)

Combined oats, water, and honey. Microwave 2 minutes. Add apple, sugar, peppermints, coloring, and flour. Microwave 2 minutes. Oven needs to be 375. Place dough in muffin tins and bake 15 minutes. WILL NOT RAISE.
Pippi and Chance liked these ones too. Mine were suppose to be purple but the light and molasses kinda made it look black-ish purple-ish. I used lots of Peppermints too.
As soon as I opened the container the treats were in Pippi must have smelled them bc she got very excited and walked as far forward in the cross ties as possible. For Chance I had to break them up, his poor little mouth is so tiny.

My Second Favorite Holiday - BLACK FRIDAY

Hello All,
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and Black Friday. (: I myself had a good Thanksgiving and a crazy BlackFriday.

For Thanksgiving I got to spend time with some family. I am the oldest cousin by a large number and I basically chill with my little 5 month old cousin  Eli and 1.5 year old Emma. I love babies and since the children I babysit are getting old having younger cousins is fun.

For Black Friday mom and I went out. Walmart had towels on sale for $1.28 at 10:00pm (Thursday) and a digital recorded for $129 at 12:01 am (Friday). Mom said if I got her the towels she wanted A) The older towels would go to the barn for Pippi and Chance, B) I get the camera I wanted for shows and school so I can see what I look like in the saddle to help myself. Well we get to Walmart at 9:30pm and the towel box has people surrounding it at least two or three people thick and mom goes to get in line for my camera. A man is standing there complaining that he has 8 million billion children and he has no money and needs these towels, blah blah blah! and the only thing that comes to mind is "you could have stopped at 2 or 3 kids." 10:00pm comes and everything goes crazy! Some how I land on the ground and scratched but I got the towels. Mom said she wanted 10-15 towels and her new "friend" (who was standing in line for a camera too) wants 4. Well when I landed on the floor I just grabbed as many towels as I could. In the end I got 21 towels and I hurt my wrist and a few bruises and MY CAMERA (: Scoreeee.

I got home around 1:00am to wake up at 7:30am to feed the Pippi and head to work to work 9:00am - 7:00pm. But by then most of the crazyyyyyyyy people have gone home and back to bed. Work wasnt so bad, some people were a little rude, my feet got sore and I was hungry. A few ladies corrected me when I said "Happy Holiday" when they left. They said I should be saying "Merry Christmas". Well what if someone doesnt celebrate Christmas. Gahhhh.

And of course I worked all day on a super duper uber nice day out and didnt get to ride Pippi. On the bright side I got to ride her yesterday before it started raining. Pippi did well, seemed happy. I only jumped cross rails since it was wet-ish and I was a bit worried about her sliding in the grass. She took them easy enough but got bored so start rushing them and not picking up her left lead. I miss my indoor arena and getting to jump 2'6ish. Cross rails just don't do it for us.

I promise my next post will be more about Pippi and Chance. (:

Welp, this is me.

Hello.
I guess for my first post I should let you know about me, what I do, and what I am about. To start off I own a 15 hh paint mare named Pippi (Spring Loaded Baybe). When I started riding to was just so I could go to a summer camp with friend, mom thought I would out grow it - That didnt happen. 11 years later and I am still riding and competing. Today Pippi and I compete in hunter jumper events up to 2'6 but school around 2'9.

Not only do I ride Pippi but I compete with a mini named Chance, in halter, obstacle, and jumping.  He loves jumping and can go 3' at the moment. I plan on getting him up to 43' so that he is jumping at World Level.

Besides my life that is rapped about Pippi and Chance I go to school for nursing and I am the nanny for three girl. I hope the next four years go by fast so that I can get my BSN and start getting other horses. (Back in elementary school mom said should would get me a horse after a four year degree. I am holding her to that.) I have a plan for after school involving many horses with different disciplines.
